DA-DN26 is a new enhanced vision goggle for close and medium range tactical surveillance and observation. A wide field of view allows for a better understanding of the situation. The unit is compact and lightweight, but is made of hard-anodized aluminum for added strength and shock resistance. The unit is compatible with most headgear and helmet mounts for hands-free operation.
The DA-DN26 operates in 4 different modes: thermal mode, day mode, night mode and day/night/thermal hybrid view, also known as fusion mode. Most importantly, the DA-DN26 is equipped with many unique features that provide convenience and help operators gain a tactical advantage. The beauty of the DA-DN26 is that the Fusion mode lets you never be in the dark. The two channels complement each other, producing real-time, lag-free video images and unrivaled situational awareness. This is achieved by combining detailed images from the visible/near-infrared and long-wave infrared spectral ranges. The end result is superior detection and identification capabilities.
Sensor technology is expanding into more bands of the electromagnetic spectrum than ever before while becoming smaller, lighter, and more energy-efficient, but it still forces a soldier or law enforcement officer to make a choice: visible light or infrared?
