IREEDA Optics Long-Range Target Location System Overview
DA-ST-10L is a handheld device for long-range observation and target location. One body holds three imaging channels, a 7x daylight optic, a low-light night channel and a 640 x 512 thermal channel, together with a 1535 nm laser rangefinder, a digital compass and a multi-constellation GNSS receiver.
It measures 30 m to 10,000 m with ±2 m accuracy and records azimuth, pitch and roll. Those readings become target coordinates in Geographic, Gauss, UTM or MGRS format, shown on a built-in offline map beside the operator position, with declination and grid convergence corrected automatically.
The IP67 long range target laser rangefinder body works from -40 C to +60 C, measures 187 x 171 x 82 mm, weighs up to 1,750 g with batteries, runs at least 5 hours on four 18650 cells, and stores photos and video to 128 GB. RS232, USB 2.0, CVBS, HDMI and Wi-Fi handle data transfer.
Selling Points
1. 10 km Ranging With ±2 m Accuracy: The 1535 nm laser rangefinder measures 30 m to 10,000 m and holds at least 99% detection reliability on a 2.3 x 2.3 m target.
2. Day, Night And Thermal In One Body: A 7x daylight optic, a low-light night channel and a 640 x 512 thermal channel at 50 Hz cover the same scene, with 1x to 8x continuous zoom on the night and thermal images.
3. Target Coordinates Ready To Pass On: Distance, azimuth, pitch and roll convert into Geographic, Gauss, UTM or MGRS coordinates on a built-in offline map, with declination and grid convergence corrected automatically.
4. Rugged Body With Long Runtime: An IP67 housing built to MIL-STD-810 works from -40 C to +60 C, runs at least 5 hours on four 18650 cells, and records photos and video to 128 GB.
5. Onboard Sensors And Full Overlay: The viewfinder overlays distance, azimuth, pitch, roll and battery state, while RS232, USB 2.0, CVBS, HDMI and Wi-Fi link the unit to external displays and systems.

FAQ
Q: How far can the laser rangefinder measure, and under what conditions?
A: The 1535 nm laser rangefinder covers a measuring range of 30 m to 10,000 m with ±2 m accuracy, and it is rated for at least 99% detection reliability. This figure is specified against a 2.3 x 2.3 m target, so ranging on a smaller or low reflectivity object will be shorter. Tell us your typical target type and observation distance and we will confirm the expected performance for your case.
Q: Can it see at night, and what does the thermal channel provide?
A: Yes. Three channels share one body: a 7x daytime optical channel, a low-light digital night channel and a thermal imaging channel. The night channel uses a CMOS sensor with 800 x 600 resolution and 1x to 8x continuous zoom, while the thermal channel delivers 640 x 512 resolution at 50 Hz, 1x to 8x zoom and person detection at 2,200 m. The same area stays under observation from daylight through low light and into total darkness.
Q: Can the unit output target coordinates for mapping or for a command system?
A: Yes. The unit records distance, azimuth, pitch and roll, then converts them into target coordinates in Geographic, Gauss, UTM or MGRS format. A built-in offline electronic map shows the operator position together with the relative positions of several targets, and magnetic declination and grid convergence are corrected automatically. Measurements can be exported over RS232 or USB 2.0, and imagery can be sent over CVBS (PAL), HDMI or built-in Wi-Fi.
